Go Where You Are Valued!

The concept of "Go Where You Are Valued" is crucial, especially in our professional lives.

Often, the routine nature of our jobs blinds us to the chronic lack of appreciation we might be enduring. Reflecting on this is vital.

Ponder over the following points:

  • Do you experience a sense of appreciation and respect in your workplace?
  • Are your efforts and exceptional work recognized and applauded?
  • Is there a coherence between what the company preaches and practices?
  • Are expressions of gratitude commonplace from your colleagues, superiors, and subordinates?
  • Is your compensation commensurate with market standards?
  • Are your innovative ideas welcomed, and do you receive support to implement them?
  • Is your emotional well-being a priority, with colleagues attuned to your state of mind?
  • Is there transparent communication, even when the messages are tough?
  • Does your viewpoint receive consideration, even if it diverges from the consensus?
  • Do you possess a distinct understanding of the prerequisites for success?
  • Is there a genuine interest in your holistic development and well-being by the company?
  • Are resources allocated for your professional growth and skill enhancement?
  • Are you empowered with the necessary tools and support to fulfill your responsibilities?
  • Are your unique talents utilized, and is there room for acquiring new ones?

Evaluating your professional environment against these parameters will unmistakably reveal whether your contributions are truly valued.

The Case of Minjae Kim's moves to multipe Soccer Clubs from Korea, China, Turkey, Italy, and UK.

If your current environment values you, continue to revel in it and reciprocate the positivity. However, if your suspicions of being undervalued are now visible in broad daylight, planning a transition becomes imperative.

"Remaining in a toxic professional relationship is detrimental."

The initial struggle of starting afresh is negligible compared to the enduring agony of being undervalued.

Seek the environment where your competencies, unique traits, and personality are not just needed but are truly valued. Visualize such a place and relentlessly pursue it until it becomes your reality.
