Kouksundo Meditation Performance Successfully Presented!

I’m delighted to share that I had the privilege of presenting a Kouksundo Performance at the 2025 UMPI Variety Show on March 27, 2025, at the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI).

As a Sabum (Master Instructor) of Kouksundo Meditation, it was an incredible opportunity to introduce the UMPI community to Kouksundo, an ancient Korean practice that fosters balance between the body, mind, and spirit.

The performance highlighted the essence of breath control, mindfulness, and energy cultivation, offering a unique glimpse into this transformative discipline.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who attended and supported this event! I am truly grateful for the warm reception and enthusiasm from the UMPI community.

Kouksundo is an ancient Korean practice that integrates deep abdominal breathing,

deliberate physical movements, and meditation to cultivate and harmonize
the body's vital energy, known as 'Ki.

Originating from Sundoism traditions, this discipline emphasizes the unification of mind, body, and spirit, aiming to enhance physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual awareness.

Practitioners engage in a series of postures and breathing techniques
designed to stimulate energy flow through the
body's channels, promoting overall well-being and inner peace.

Comparable to practices like yoga and Qigong,
Kouksundo offers a pathway to self-cultivation and balance,
fostering a deep connection between the individual and the universe.
